I'm glad to see you concentrating on nature, we need more nature images in league A.
The pigeon is a stock dove, not as big as a woodpigeon but still a handfull for this first winter female sparrowhawk. Her age is revealed by the pale edges on the feathers of her back and her sex by her size in comparrison to the dove. Males are much smaller and a stock dove too big to tackle.
What a wonderful image, was it taken through window glass? Wish it was mine.
Wow. Is there anything that you don't know about birds?
I assume you're talking to me Rod : )
:)
I don't think league A has anything to worry about from my nature photography. Thanks for all the information - I was just pleased to identify her as a sparrowhawk. And, yes, taken through the double glazing.
