Reigning Champions Dumfries travelled to Stirling for the Scottish Print Championships having pre-qualified for the 2017 Final in Blackburn.  Individual members had submitted a maximum of three colour and three monochrome prints subject to a maximum of 80 photographs per club.

A number of folk from the Club joined a capacity crowd at the Stirling Court Hotel to watch the judging by Joan Blease, Richard Speirs and Dave Symonds.  Only the best 10 scores from each section counted towards the overall Club total with the additional restriction that only five nature images could be included.

Dumfries and Edinburgh PS were first equal in a very close Colour Section, one point ahead of Carluke.  However, Carluke topped the Mono Section by a margin of four from Dumfries and Eastwood PS.  A delighted Libby Smith announced the combined scores with Carluke taking home the John Logan Trophy for Best Overall Club.

Second placed Dumfries CC and 3rd placed Eastwood PS had already pre-qualified for the 2017 PAGB Print Championship, so 1st placed Carluke CC and 4th placed Dundee PS were invited to represent the SPF at the 2017 PAGB Print Championship.

Full results and the winning images can be seen on the Print Championships page of the SPF Website
