A chance to see some great prints that just missed inclusion in the Masters of Print Exhibition.  Everyone will have to comment in small discussion groups.

The inimitable Leigh Preston makes a return visit this evening with his presentation -  'Night Walk.'  An eclectic collection of people, archtiecture, landscape and concert images - all taken after dark.

Rod, John and Ronnie offer tips on people photography

Two very different destinations and presentations this evening.  Jean Robson will show the fantastic sights of 'The Arctic in Winter' and Maybeth Jamieson will take you on a trip around Namibia.

Competition evenings start at the earlier time of 7.15pm.

Dumfries Camera Club competes in several external competitions; at local, Scottish and UK levels - and they can be very confusing.  Maybeth will explain the various events and report on recent results.

The Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) is a distinctions process run by The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).  Rod is the longstanding Chair of the programme and will explain the five levels of award, the adjudication process and show examples from successful applicants.

Well known travel photograher and tour leader, Tim Mannakee will give us an introduction to drone photography and show some of his stunning images from around the world.  Tim will also explain how to self-publish a coffee table book.

I am bringing him to Graham's studio on the Whitesands on Friday 5 September and he has promised to bring a full range of his character costumes from the joker to Napoleon.  You cannot fail to get good shots!
