'Wish You Were Here?' is an opportunity to give a short presentation on a recent trip or holiday - it can be an AV or a PDI presentation with or without commentary. We will also see some of the images from the summer outings.
This evening will formally start the 'Pairs Project' and set up pairs of photographers to work together over the next few months.
Wed 1 Oct 2025 - External Competitions & the Awards for Photographic Merit
Dumfries Camera Club competes in several external competitions; at local, Scottish and UK levels - and they can be very confusing. Maybeth will explain the various events and report on recent results.
The Awards for Photographic Merit (APM) is a distinctions process run by The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). Rod is the longstanding Chair of the programme and will explain the five levels of award, the adjudication process and show examples from successful applicants.

Well known travel photograher and tour leader, Tim Mannakee will give us an introduction to drone photography and show some of his stunning images from around the world. Tim will also explain how to self-publish a coffee table book.
Wed 10 Sep 2025 - In House Evening
There is something for everyone tonight. The first half of the evening will include an introduction to all aspects of the Club for new members, details of how to enter competitions and the re-launch of the 'Pairs Project.'
After the tea break, Dave Moyes will explain how and why to use a tilt and shift lens.
