Hi Guy's, is there a running order for this competition anywhere please...

I thought Rob did a great Job last night. He emailed and thanked the club for an enjoyable evening. Apparently, we were all friendly and encouraging!!

I thought Rob did an excellent job last night. His comments and the time he gave each image throughout all of the leagues were very good. It would be great to have him back again.

Results are now on the site. The server crashed last night pulling down all our websites - including our paying clients (paying as in the work we do not the server space). I doubt it was the club site that crashed the server but it is a demanding site. The club should consider paying a bit more to upgrade the server space in my opinion. Something for the committee I think. Sorry if you were waiting on seeing the results come in live.

if Ian thinks that our website needs more space - then l am in favour of buying some more.

Believe it or not, our highest page view per month was 18,000 pages. Our average page view per month is about 10,000. That, together with all the behind the scenes uploading/managing/adding... we get a lot of hits, we do a lot of stuff. For this kind of load, the site should be on a dedicated server that can handle more than 10,000 page views per month - I don't think that's an option - it would be too expensive per month to host. We currently pay £8 per month. Inadequate. And now I've looked at the analytics, it probably was the club site that crashed the server last night. We could move it to a dedicated server that can handle up-to 10,000 hits per month and would slow down if we exceeded that, but would still work. This would double the current hosting cost. Trouble is an account like that would be for a 1GB website. The club site is currently 4GB and isn't likely to get any smaller.

Realistically what are our options Ian?

Realistically I guess the Club can afford about £300 per annum. Will that be enough?

I Agree in my opinion Rob's comments were fair and encouraging
